The 9th annual Health Hook-up
Community Festival is being sponsored in connection
with National HIV Testing Day (recognized annually June 27th).
While injecting drug use and sex are major causes of HIV
infection, we intend to increase awareness about alcohol’s
connection to increased HIV infection rates, especially for
youth. This family oriented event will feature a Town Hall
Meeting on underage drinking and binge drinking, various medical
and social service provider information tables, 5-6 health
screenings, fun educational games, a DJ, healthy food and
door-prize drawings!
